Transportation
Bratislava airport: there are direct flights from all over Europe to Bratislava airport
on EasyJet and
Sky Europe.
A taxi from Bratislava airport to hotel Sorea should cost you around SKK 300,- (Euro 8,-)
Vienna airport: alternatively, you can fly to Vienna and take
the OeBB bus
directly outside the arrival zone at Vienna airport to Bratislava. The bus leaves every hour and the journey
takes 1 hour. You can also order a Slovak taxi to pick you up at Vienna airport for a decent price
(around Euro 40,-). Please contact us if you wish us to order such a taxi for you. Do not attempt to ride
a Vienna Airport taxi to Bratislava, as they will rip you off big time...
Trains: from Vienna Sübahnhof to Bratislava run every 15 to 30 minutes and take an hour.
(Check schedule).
The price for a taxi from Bratislava train station to hotel Sorea should cost you around SKK 150,- (Euro 4,-).
Driving directions through/from Vienna/Vienna-Airport: In Vienna, follow the signs for the Budapest/Vienna
Airport Motorway. Take the first exit past Vienna Airport and follow the signs on the national road E58 towards Bratislava.
You will pass through many scenic villages, including the medieval town of Hainburg
where you drive through the spectacular Wiener Tor, a gate in the city wall.
Be aware that the signs on the motorway are slightly confusing, because buses and trucks are forbidden from taking
the direct route just described. They are directed along the motorway for another 30 km, then along country roads and
finally on a short piece of new Slovak motorway to Bratislava. There is a plan to complete a motorway connection this
way between Vienna and Bratislava, but the Austrians have not built their part of the connection yet. Avoid taking
this route unless you think your vehicle won't fit through the Wiener Tor...
