Unscientific ActivitiesOpera is one of my biggest passions. Here is a list of all 173 different operas I remember having seen on stage so far.Since my Munich "debut" as Narr in 1993, I have been appearing on stage every now and then, e.g. as Tamino in "Die Zauberflöte" or as Sir Bruno Roberton in "I Puritani". Here is the 1997 Aachen "Trovatore" on stage (you may recognize me among the soldiers) and during a performance break, and this is my famous colleague, American baritone Sherrill Milnes, after teaching me "Una furtiva lagrima" at Villa Mazzotti in Chiari 1999. This is me at the organ during a concert with my wonderful wife Marena on Easter Monday 2002. Here is a picture of me conducting the famous "FTW Choir" at FTW's 5th birthday party in May 2004, and this is a live recording of Ernst Toch's famous "Geographical Fugue" (the video version of this remarkable event can be downloaded from here, but be aware of its size of some 83 MB...:). More recently, here I am giving a small performance during the conference dinner of NETWORKING'09. If you are still not scared enough and want to find out more about my or others' high C, you may book me through Zurich Pocket Opera. |
